CSA 2010

 

 CSA 2010 has now been in effect for several years and I am interested in hearing your stories as to how this law has affected you personally.

 

In my own case it has not affected me in the slightest. I am a professional and while I do make mistakes I have over the years developed habits that keep me out of trouble with the authoritys. One company I worked for had such a bad score that they would post violators (not by name but by truck number) and the company score. They also inserted our own personal score in our pay envelope at the end of the month. The company I currently work for has such a good score that we seldom ever get pulled in to the scales. I thought the upcomming mandatory electronic logging would be a problem but so far, of the guys I have talked to, every single one of them liked it better than paper logs.

 

Is it helping improve safety? I don't think so, especially with all the new drivers comming from other countries that really don't seem to care much about anything but themselves. I have seen more unsafe driving on the road than ever before and honestly it is scary.
